Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Water Tank Improvements project includes, but is not limited to, partial coating removal and repainting of the 1.0 MG Waterspheroid Louviers Tank, full coating removal and repainting of the 500,000 Gallon Arbour Park Standpipe, and overcoat of the 2.0MG New London Road Tank. A. 1.0 MG Waterspheroid, Louviers Tank 1. Full coating removal and relining of the interior wet surfaces, as per Section 9950. 2. Spot surface preparation and touch ups of the interior dry surfaces, as per Section 9960. 3. Pressure washing, spot surface preparation and touch ups of the exterior surfaces, as per Section 9970. 4. Installation of a Reservoir Hydrodynamic Mixing System (HMS), as per Section 11268. 5. Sealant repairs to the exterior base plate, as per Section 7900. 6. Replacement of burnt out light bulbs on interior dry area. 7. Perform tank disinfection, seal manholes, and install new gaskets and new nuts and bolts as necessary on all manholes, as per Section 13900. B. 500,000 Gallon Standpipe, Arbour Park Tank 1. Full coating removal and relining of the interior wet surfaces, as per Section 9950. 2. Surface preparation and repainting of the valve vault piping, as per Section 9960. 3. Full coating removal and repainting of the exterior surfaces, as per Section 9970. 4. Excavate to expose the concrete ring wall foundation. 5. Remove all sealant from the exterior base plate to foundation interface. Upon completion of the surface preparation and repainting apply an elastomeric sealant to this interface, as per Section 7900. 6. Install an air gap, concentric reducer and non-corrodible mesh screen to the overflow pipe, as per Section 5500. 7. Remove and replace the existing 18” x 24” shell manhole with a 30” dia. shell manhole, as per Section 5500. 8. Remove and replace the exterior shell ladder with a new OSHA compliant ladder, as per Section 5500. 9. Install a new galvanized flexible cable safety climb device to the exterior shell ladder, as per Section 5500. 10. Install a lockable 8’ aluminum ladder guard to the base of the shell ladder, as per Section 5500. 11. Install OSHA compliant handrails at the top of the shell ladder, which will include installation of a swing gate at the handrail opening, as per Section 5500. 12. Install welded conduit clips up the shell to support the conduit and cables, as per Section 5500. 13. Remove the existing rolling roof ladder and replace with a stationary OSHA approved roof ladder, as per Section 5500. 14. Replace the existing 12” dia. roof vent with a 24” dia. roof vent neck and an 18” dia. aluminum pressure vacuum vent, as per Section 5500. 15. Perform tank disinfection, seal manholes, and install new gaskets and new galvanized nuts and bolts on all manholes, as per Section 13900.
