Specifications include, but are not limited to: Clinics are approximately three (3) hour duration and approximately 20 client/patients are seen during clinics. SWC is willing to work with Optometrist once contract begins on flexibility. Clinics are scheduled to best accommodate the Optometrist’s availability. Optometrist will: During exams will reach for refraction errors. Identity and follow any cataracts and/or their development. Write prescription for eyeglasses, which are purchased by SWC from the State contracted vendor established for this purpose. Refer clients to an Ophthalmologist when further treatment is needed. Initially, there may be a heavier/more frequent demand for Optometry Clinic Services to treat client/patients per their last exam.
