Specifications include, but are not limited to: Rising Stem Gate Valves Supply the following valves that meet the specification below: • One 16” valve • One 14” valve. • Gate valves shall be iron body, bronze mounted valves with flanged ends, double-disc gate, outside screw and yoke, O-ring sealed stuffing box, and handwheel operated conforming to AWWA C500. • Valves shall be rated 150-pound WOG minimum. Acceptable valves shall be: • American R/D Gate Valve Co. • Clow Valve Company • Or approved equal. Newly made spool pipe The spool pipe must be cement lined, ductile iron pipe. A. General Pipe Requirements: Centrifugally cast, Grade 60-42-10 iron, ANSI/AWWA C151/A21.51, cement-lined and seal-coated in accordance with ANSI/AWWA C104/A21.4, 250 psi minimum working pressure. B. Requirements for exposed flanged pipe: 1. Minimum thickness class 53 as specified in ANSI/AWWA C115/A21.15, Table 15.1. 2. Flanges: ANSI A21.15/AWWA C115, thread on flanges with 250 psi working pressure and ANSI 125-pound drilling.
