Specifications include, but are not limited to: RIDEM is soliciting proposals for development of a Master Plan and Schematic Design Services to reimagine the future of Fort Adams State Park Plans will demonstrate protection of historic and natural resources and engaging the public with them, as well as providing a variety of recreational opportunities and supporting and enhancing the stewardship of these resources. This project will identify a vision for visitor services to support use of the Park by future generations including vehicle access and circulation, pedestrian circulation, stormwater management, comfort facilities, universal access to natural and man-made structures and environments, protection of sensitive resources and enhancing the enjoyment and stewardship of the Park for users of all ages and abilities. Proposals and products shall respect and showcase the unique history and landscape of the Park, including its historic nature and coastal location. Proposals shall consider and respond to the effects of climate change such as increased storm events, sea level rise, and increasingly intense sun effects. Design shall minimize long-term maintenance and lifecycle needs to optimize economic investment and shall reflect historic nature and requirements of the park as well as RIDEM branding/design standards
