Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Service Specifications a. DTI currently deploys a fiber based Wide Area Network utilizing carrier switched Ethernet services from various providers. The network’s design allows satellite sites to route data packets to either of DTI’s two data centers. DTI has installed aggregation circuits at each data center to limit the number or required handoffs at each site. b. Remote sites that don’t have the ability to install a dedicated data circuit use commercially available Internet (cable modems, etc) and VPN technology to connect to our network. c. The following specifications are for the establishment of a requirements-type contract, with firm fixed prices, for the delivery and installation of transport services. 5 i. Ethernet Transport Circuits (Carrier Switched Ethernet, TLS, Point to Point or equivalents): a. Proposed service, at a minimum, must be able to provide the following bandwidths: 100Mb, 1Gb, 10Gb, 20Gb, 40Gb or 100Gb ii. Commercially Available Internet Requirements: a. No Monthly Data Limits - The State seeks services that do not throttle, place limitations, quotas, or caps on total upload and download data capacity on a periodic basis (as do some mobile and fixed broadband providers).
