Specifications include, but are not limited to: Scope of Services The purpose of this document is to define the material, surface preparation, application, quality assurance, test, and performance requirements for painting of school and / or ancillary facility interior and exterior surfaces. This purchasing specification applies to the purchase of painting contractor services. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools and other equipment, services and supervision required to complete all exterior and interior painting and decorating work as indicated on finish schedules and to the full extent of the project scope of work, drawings, and/or specifications. The intent of this bid is to procure services for projects less than $300,000.00. The following applies when more than one Painting Contractor has been awarded. It is also the intent to utilize the awarded firms from this Invitation to Bid as follows: • Projects less than $5,000.00, District staff may choose any one of the awarded firms to perform the work. The quote shall be time and material and match all awarded rates on the price sheet. All quotes less than $5,000.00 will be time and material. • Projects greater than $5,000.00 and less than $300,000.00, District staff shall send a request for quote to all the awarded firms, the firms will submit a written quote to the District Staff and the District will award the project to the firm with the lowest responsive, responsible written quote. The quote provided, and purchase order issued will be a “lump sum” accompanied by a schedule of values.
