Specifications include, but are not limited to: (1) a new hotel (2) a conference and meeting center (3) a parking structure (4) a signature restaurant (5) integration with surrounding infrastructure, public spaces and (6) connectivity to downtown Frankfort. The size and design of the Hotel and Conference Center Project should create a high quality, stimulating attraction with a broad-based audience appeal and distinctive image and connect to Frankfort’s cultural history as Kentucky’s capital city. The Hotel and Conference Center Project should re-integrate downtown as well as both sides of the Kentucky River. In furthering this purpose, the design should contribute to a more walkable Frankfort by repurposing existing infrastructure and connect to existing parks and trails.
