Specifications include, but are not limited to: The airport is requesting sealed proposals for One (1) Rotary Plow (Blower) with Carrier Vehicle for Airfield Snow Removal. The airport is requesting cost proposals for the delivery of 1 Unit. The airport intends to issue a contract based upon available funding. The airport reserves the right to negotiate with one or more parties who have submitted proposals. Such negotiations are designed to achieve terms and conditions most favorable to the airport. The Rotary Plow (Blower) with Carrier Vehicle for Airfield Snow Removal must meet SAE standard ARP5539 Rev A Rotary Plow with Carrier Vehicle for Airfield Snow Removal. The Rotary Plow (Blower) with Carrier Vehicle for Airfield Snow Removal must meet specifications of the FAA Advisory Circular AC 150/5220-20A Airport Snow and Ice Control Equipment and SAE ARP5539 Rev A. The snow shall be moved and windrowed by machinery to construct a sample windrow. The depth of the windrow along its entire length at its peak shall be no less than 18 inches but no greater than the height of the blower’s intake. The length of the windrow shall be 700 feet minimum at the required speed (greater than or equal to 25 mph). The unit will be required to effectively clear at least 7,500 tons of snow per hour at a casting distance up to 100 ft.
