Specifications include, but are not limited to: 5. Contractor Roles and Responsibilities A. Depending on when the contract is awarded, quarterly maintenance is to be done every ninety (90) days with the first quarterly maintenance scheduled within thirty (30) days of contract execution. B. Contractor will be required to call on-site contact person or designee and make an appointment to perform the maintenance at least three (3) days in advance. C. Contractor shall sign in and sign out with the CHP Area on-site contact or designee upon each service; and sign in and sign out on the Area vendor sign in log to provide verification that service has been provided. D. Failure to sign in and out may be grounds to dispute invoices as verification of work cannot be made. 6. Quarterly Maintenance Shall be conducted every ninety (90) days as identified below and services are to consist of the following: A. Lube all points of friction, including but not limited to, rollers, bearings, gears and B. guides, etc. C. Ensure the gates are balanced, the motor limiters are properly adjusted, the drive chains are tight and the manual system is in proper working order, etc. D. Inspect and test the function of the gates, including but not limited to, the electrical wiring and connections, chain, chain shafts, gears and bearings, etc. E. Quarterly maintenance supplies shall include, but not limited to, belts, cleaning chemicals, oil, grease, cleaning rags, switches and fuses. F. Oiling all moving parts, align, tighten drive chain on gate, set limit switches, etc. G. Inspect motor and clutch mechanism for wear. H. Inspect bearings, gears, and shafts for wear I. Check oil and fluid levels, fill if needed. J. Grease chain shafts, bearings, etc. K. Inspect all electrical parts and wiring including touch pad controls and ground loops. This includes radio receivers. Any work requiring a C-7 or C-10 license will not be covered under this contract. L. Inspect chain for wear, lube, and replace any broken or worn links. M. Inspect gate wheel; grease as needed. N. Welding and/or repair of the gate structures and “V’ groove wheel track. O. Adjustment to gates for proper clearances and tolerances. P. Replacement parts to any of the above. Q. All maintenance performed shall be to insure compliance with minimum manufacturer’s operating specifications for the model and make of this equipment.
