Unit(s) must meet or exceed all state and federal regulations applicable at the time of delivery and is to comply with all welding requirements as detailed herein. Unit(s) are to be used in highway operations for snow and ice control. -- 1 Unit is to consist of a 201 stainless steel body, discharge / feed conveyor, spinner assembly, power drive, and all components necessary to make a complete operating unit. 2 The spreader hopper is to be constructed of 10-gauge 201 stainless steel with a 2” double crimped top edge formed for greater rigidity. 3 The hopper body length is to be 14 feet with longitudinals overhung for supporting the spinner assembly. 4 The hopper is not more than 84” outside width 5 The hopper height approximately 50” with a cubic yard capacity of 7.4 cubic yards water level full. 6 The body sides is to have a minimum of (45) forty-five-degree slope to insure free flow of material to conveyor. 7 The body longitudinals is to be manufactured of 7-gauge 201 stainless steel. 8 Longitudinal should have a “Bolt On” replaceable rear tail section. The tail section and the mating longitudinal is to have ¼” flanges reinforced with ¼” triangular gussets. Bolts will be minimum of ½” stainless steel. 9 The channel cross sills 3” formed 201 stainless steel channel that tie the lower edge of the longitudinals to each side support. 10 These cross supports is to be wide enough to allow to slide into a dumpbody. 11 The body and conveyor longitudinals electrically welded into a rugged solid unit with a continuous weld between the outside joint. 12 The 7-gauge stainless steel feedgate provided at the rear of the hopper. 13 There is to be 10-gauge stainless steel formed side supports that extend the full side angle height spaced 24” centers. 14 A heavy-duty stainless steel lift hook at each corner. 15 The rear endplate reinforced inside and supported to give it maximum strength.
