Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Asbestos Abatement – The University has had an initial Asbestos Survey completed, however has not retained an Asbestos Abatement contractor as noted on the architectural drawing section A1.6-A1.9, Asbestos Note #2. GC shall retain a certified Asbestos Abatement contractor for the necessary asbestos abatement scope. • Mechanical upgrades include new AHUs, ductwork, and terminal devices throughout. • Electrical upgrades include new switchgear, transformer, and branch panels throughout. • New fire alarm and fire protection. • New roof. • Select restroom upgrades including new fixtures and finishes. • New ceilings throughout. • New windows. • Corridor finish improvements including flooring, ceiling, lighting, and paint. • Selective demolition. Add Alternate #1 – Stairwells • Remove floor tile. • Remove the suspended ceiling where applicable and replace it with a new (Surface-mounted spline ceiling to be repaired and repainted). • Remove light fixtures, switches, and associated conduits. Replace with new. • Furnish and install new floor tile and paint the walls, doors, and frames. Deductive Alternate #2 • Low-E 2 - ¼” x 4 - ½” Thermally Broken Offset Glazed for 1” Glazing Unit. Glazing Unit Make Up – ¼” Glass + ½” Air + ¼” Glass.
