Montana State University Procurement & Contract Services is considering a request from the Department of Earth Sciences to award a Sole Source contract to Planet for Education & Research Bundle, Planetscope and RapidEye.. The determination of this Sole Source purchase is based on the following requirements: This purchase is part of an agreement with Woodwell Climate Research Center, and these data will be used for research and teaching. This collaboration requires high spatial and temporal resolution satellite images with global coverage. There are publicly available datasets, however, these data are at much more coarse resolutions. Planet is the only company with such a product.
