Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Sustain the culture that puts our students first and that respects the dignity and humanity of all members of the SMHS team; • Collaboratively develop and implement a vision for the future of the School and in its relationships with the rest of the University to enhance its leadership in education, research, patient care, and services, and enable it to respond effectively to future challenges; • Develop policy, planning, budget, personnel, and department coordination for the Division of Health Affairs and the School, comprising 480 benefited employees and a budget of $237M; • Develop and execute strategic planning goals consistent with the UND LEADS strategic plan and the mission and vision of the School; • Serve in campus-wide leadership roles as a member of the President’s Council to support institutional initiatives, plans, and goals; • Oversee the basic, clinical, and health sciences departments, programs, and centers; • Develop meaningful alignment with clinical health care system partners throughout the state; • Provide operational leadership for the School’s academic and research programs, creating an environment and community that supports the School’s faculty, learners, staff, research agenda and patient care in its clinical facilities; • Promote excellence across the division through effective faculty recruitment, appointment, promotion, tenure review, and retention initiatives;
