Specifications include, but are not limited to: This Requests for Proposals (RFP) is issued to solicit proposals from qualified, experienced, financially sound, and responsible firms to provide labor, equipment and materials for complete Preconstruction Assistance and Construction scope of services for Curtain Wall, Metal Panel, Exterior Aluminum Entrances, Louvers, Glass Handrail, and associated Expansion Joints for the University of Kentucky. • The successful Contractor must provide Preconstruction Assistance services including constructability reviews, budget development, detailed cost estimates, schedule development, special studies and commissioning criteria, value engineering, material selection, BIM creation, prefabrication planning, and long lead material items during the design phases of the project. • The successful Contractor must actively participate with the Project Team, the Architect/Engineer of Record and other design consultants during the design phase and preparation of contract documents. • The Contractor selected to implement the system must provide a single point of contact during the project period. This single point of contact must have the authority to ensure that the project requirements are completed. • Following Design, this Contractor must provide all equipment, labor, and materials necessary to install and test the Curtain Wall/Glazing, Metal Panel, Exterior Aluminum Entrances, Louvers, Glass Handrail, and associated Expansion Joints related work as shown on the Contract Documents. • The Curtain Wall scope generally includes CW-01/CW01A -CW-04/CW-04A. • The Glazing scope generally includes GL01 – GL06 • The Metal Panel scope generally includes MTP-01, MTP-02, MTP-03, MTP-04, and MTP-06 • The Glass Handrail scope generally includes RLG-01 – RLG-02 Offerors must demonstrate successful completion of curtainwall projects with similar size, scope of work, and quality requirements as this project. The University and Construction Manager reserve the right to contact any person materially involved with the referenced projects.
