Specifications include, but are not limited to: Red Clay Consolidated School District is planning to utilize ERATE Category II funding to upgrade the network cabling in Mote Elementary. The vendor will install approximately one hundred (100) yellow CAT6 data lines and approximately thirty (30) green CAT6a data lines to the existing access points in the school and the necessary patch panels required. The vendor will also need to provide approximately thirty (30) ten foot white CAT6a patch cables (non-booted) to connect the existing access points to the new CAT6a drop. This project will also include removal of the existing drops, which include data, voice, coax, and fiber. Patch cables for the patch panels will NOT need to be provided by the vendor. Attending a walk-through is required for this project prior to submitting a bid. The vendor is responsible for the installation, termination, testing, and documentation. Each cable must be labeled as per the Red Clay Technology Dept. instructions. Cabling test results must be submitted to the Red Clay Technology Dept before submitting the invoice for the project. The project is contingent upon receiving ERATE Category II funding for internal connections in the 2024 filing year. If ERATE Category II funding for internal connections is not granted, the project will not proceed, and all proposals will be denied. The purchase will occur after the District receives the award information concerning ERATE.
