Specifications include, but are not limited to: The goal of this Best Value Bid is to select a vendor who can provide materials and labor to: • Remove existing concrete when necessary, per the owner’s instructions and install and finish concrete per owner’s specifications. Contractor is required to submit references and proof of success in performing this type of work. • Prior to commencing work, Contractor will meet with Owner’s representative to review the work and site to determine logistic and scheduling parameters, then submit cost estimates based on prevailing concrete and grading material market prices, plus labor. Estimate will include the quantity of concrete and grading materials needed for the quoted job. • Work will need to be scheduled to avoid conflicts with school operations and approved by a District representative. • Contractor shall perform all work according to the Beaufort County School District policies and procedure. • Upon completion of the work-site, no work-related debris is to be left on site and all soil is to be cleaned and graded to the top of the concrete unless otherwise specified in the job description. Since the cost of concrete and grading materials can fluctuate, the School District will pay the Contractor the invoiced price of materials to grade base including delivery charges and the invoice price of the concrete to include any specified admixtures (Fibermesh, color, etc.).
