Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiation for the purchase of Internet Services by the Albemarle County Public Schools Division. Service Goals: • ACPS has nearly 14,000 students, over 2000 staff members, and may serve 20,000 or more internet connected devices concurrently. Based on current bandwidth recommendations, ACPS will be seeking internet capacity to the level of which the allocated budget permits. Current Service Details: • Two 10Gbps wavelength circuits terminating at 2751 Hydraulic Road, delivered over dedicated optical fiber destined for WDM conversion on the service provider long-haul network. No service provider electronics exist on ACPS premises. Circuits terminate at service provider POPs in Ashburn, VA. • One 10Gbps wavelength circuit terminating at 2751 Hydraulic Road, delivered over dedicated optical fiber destined for WDM conversion on the service provider long-haul network. No service provider electronics exist on ACPS premises. No service provider electronics exist on ACPS premises. Circuit terminates at service provider POP in Ashburn, VA. • Two contiguous class C IPv4 blocks per circuit, for a total of 8 class C IPv4 blocks. • Full BGP internet routes with default routes. • Advertising IPv4 blocks via BGP. • Capability to mitigate denial of service attacks by BGP community and other service provider methods. • ISP POP router to ACPS router interface link state end to end. • ACPS outside plant fiber is used for portions of some circuit delivery. Service Requirements: • The minimum procured services will be two 10Gbps wavelength circuits. • Provide pricing for 10Gbps wavelength circuits, and any additional pricing tiers up to 100Gbps for each location as an individual price per location, please note any discounts for bundling multiple circuit purchase between the locations specified above and any other pertinent pricing details. • Circuits will be dedicated and demarcation provided by fiber connecting directly to ACPS equipment and ultimately to a transponder (or equivalent method) on the provider WDM network. • A minimum of two class C IPV4 blocks will be assigned per circuit, as well as an allocation for IPv6 on each circuit which is of adequate size to announce via BGP. • Ability to run full BGP internet routes w/ default routes
