Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids from firms that provide HVAC Unit Installation Services. Work shall be performed on weekends or evenings unless other arrangements have been made with the CHP Facilities Coordinator and the on-site contact. A work schedule will be established with the on-site contact to assure a minimum of disruption to essential state operations and Contractor’s work. Contractor shall sign-in and sign-out with the CHP on-site contact on each visit. A. Supply and Install (1) new Fujitsu (or equal) 1-ton commercial grade Energy Star rated ductless mini-split HVAC system on the wall in the server/radio room. This will include parts, fittings, and rebuild kits to connect to the existing piping if needed. B. Supply and install new outdoor unit on ground by the existing units. C. Supply and install new refrigerant lines from indoor to outdoor unit. D. Supply and install new dedicated electrical circuit to the new equipment. E. Supply and install new thermostat on wall in the server/radio room. F. Supply and install new condensate pump and condensate line to drain. G. Cap off/block existing ducting that currently feeds the server/radio room from existing zone shared with front lobby and office areas. H. Provide temporary move and cool unit to keep, server room cool during the installation period. I. Where applicable, Contractor is to seek any public utility rebates and pass the cost savings on to the California Highway Patrol.
