Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Bismarck is seeking proposals from qualified consultants with specific experience in community arts and culture planning for the purpose of developing the first community arts and culture plan. The selected consultant will work in conjunction with staff from the City of Bismarck, Bismarck Parks and Recreation District, Bismarck Public Schools and Dakota West Arts Council to gather and utilize broad public involvement in the creation of the plan. The community art and culture plan is intended to benefit the entire community whether directly or indirectly. Through the planning process, arts and culture organizations will be engaged through direct interview engagement and as stakeholder participants. One priority of this process is the engagement of students at all levels through school as well as college arts departments/instructors, with a concerted effort focused on relationship building. This process will emphasis and ensure the outreach to artists, underserved populations and culture bearers to ensure diverse collaboration in the planning process.
