Specifications include, but are not limited to: Priority One includes: ● Plans for Wilson Elementary School to close for the fall of 2024 where students and staff will be split between Beech or McDonough. ● A new Elementary School will be built at the McDonough site with construction anticipated to start April of 2025. ● New modular classrooms will be placed at Beech and McDonough Elementary Schools and the four (4) middle schools: McLaughlin, Hillside, Parkside and Southside for use in the fall of 2024 and for short-term to facilitate the construction timeline. ● Renovations and additions are anticipated for all four (4) middle schools with McLaughlin and Hillside to first start construction in January 2025. Parkside and McLaughlin are intended to start construction approximately twelve (12) months afterwards. Priority Two includes: plans for the balance of the district’s 12 Elementary Schools and 4 High Schools.
