Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall submit a plan for how they intend to sequence the construction, disinfection and flushing on this project, prior to the start of work on this project, and must get approval from the Lincoln Water System and Lincoln Transportation and Utilities representatives prior to doing so. It is suggested that the Contractor progress as follows, however: Jeffery Dr. from Steinway Rd. to Broadway Dr. 1. Isolate existing water mains and make connection to existing water main at Station 100+15.61. (Steinway Rd. and Jeffrey Dr.) Install the sleeve and plug on the existing main and re-energize the system. 2. Continue installing the proposed water mains in Steinway Rd. and Jeffery Dr. 3. Test, disinfect and flush all mains through the temporary and proposed hydrants shown on the plans. 4. Transfer services from the old mains to the new mains. 5. Isolate the existing mains, remove fittings, make connections and abandon the old mains where called for on the plans, if not already completed. All Other Mains 1. Isolate existing water mains and make connection to existing water main at Station 200+71.16 (Steinway Rd. and Skyway Rd.) Install the sleeve and plug on the existing main and re-energize the system. 2. Continue installing the proposed water mains in Steinway Rd., Apache Tr., Trail Ridge Rd. and Indian Rd. 3. Test, disinfect and flush all mains through the temporary and proposed hydrants shown on the plans. 4. Transfer services from the old mains to the new mains. 5. Isolate the existing mains, remove fittings, make connections and abandon the old mains where called for on the plans, if not already completed.
