Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Nashua is seeking proposals from experienced and qualified firms to furnish and install two fiber optic runs with the following specifications and equipment: 10 Gps rated 72 OFNP strand single-mode fiber LINE1 is approximately 16,000 ft LINE2 is approximately 5,500 ft Approximately 2,400 ft of ¼” Messenger strand will be required in three areas Location of aerial pathways will be provided at mandatory pre-bid meeting Vendor shall install labelled collars on each fiber optic line at each traffic intersection Furnish and install three (3) 72-port APC-SC rack mounted patch panels o One at each end of LINE1 (inside of buildings) o Only one is required for LINE2 (inside of building) as other end will be terminated into an existing aerial splice enclosure Vendor is required to maintain the integrity of the existing aerial splice enclosure Vendor is responsible to coordinate required police details directly with the Nashua Police Dept Both runs will cross the Everett Turnpike at the same location o Vendor is responsible to coordinate all work required for highway crossing with the NH Dept of Transportation o This crossing will require a rolling lane closure and will most likely need to be performed on a Sunday o NHDOT will dictate final needs and schedule All strands must be tested and certified and results provided to the City of Nashua in electronic format Strand length, splicing, and terminations will follow industry standards regarding db loss Aerial slack loops shall be provided every 1,500 ft Slack loops shall be provided at each of the three patch panel installation locations In the areas where there is Fire “C” wire, vendor shall furnish and install “J” hook; detach existing wire from pole and attach to hook; and install ¼” messenger strand to maintain single attachment point. Nashua Fire Rescue shall remove “C” wire and “J” hook at a later date Vendor will be allowed to install no more than two (2) splice enclosures for LINE1 if desired Vendor will be allowed to install no more than one (1) splice enclosure for LINE2 if desired Proposal shall include all work necessary to complete this project All work must be completed by June 1, 2024
