Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Vendor will be expected to perform the following tasks under the direction of the Director at PLPCO or their designee. Be highly collaborative in their approach to working with the several public information officers employed by the State of Utah, their supervisors, and the staff at PLPCO/DNR/AG to match the right key messages, efforts, timing, and approved content with the correct audience(s). Create videos and other forms of media content for social media, news releases, websites, and other platforms. Work with PLPCO to identify target publications, establish timelines, and coordinate strategic pitch details. Work with PLPCO to organize media tool kits for pitching. Tool kits may include story ideas, facts, photos, videos, contact information, op-eds, etc. Effectively collaborate and communicate with PLPCO staff to quickly pinpoint potential news outlets for pitching and press releases. Help develop timely pitches (or press releases as needed) highlighting newsworthy Utah stories directly resulting in earned media coverage. Draft regular headline pitches to be reviewed by PLPCO and distributed to state and national media outlets. Expeditiously draft factual talking points in preparation for or in response to urgent or potentially contentious matters. Conduct public education campaigns targeting key audiences (will vary by project).
