Specifications include, but are not limited to: The sweeper shall comply with APWA 2017 specifications, must have the capability to dump into the City’s 10-wheel dump trucks, and include dust prevention/ control equipment. A project site hydrant meter will be available for use at no additional cost to the contractor. The contractor shall be responsible for any equipment needed to supply water for their equipment if they are not able to use the water provided at the hydrant meter location. It is expected that all sweeping equipment shall be equipped with and use water spray systems that are working properly for dust control. Last year staff utilized a sweeper for approximately 350 hours. A sweeping machine is expected to be mobilized 45 times this season. These numbers listed are estimates for bidding purposes only – actual quantities will vary depending upon the need.
