Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected firm or individual will be responsible for the following: • Conducting hearings related to appeals of City administrative decisions regarding the Development Code and other City land use regulations. • Conducting hearings related to requests for variances of the requirements of Highland City Development Code and other City land use regulations. • Reviewing case files, arguments and briefing, and evidence presented by the appellant and the City. • Issuing written decisions in a timely manner that clearly explain the reasoning behind the decision. • Maintaining impartiality and upholding the highest ethical standards throughout the appeal process. • Performing other duties as directed by the City Council
