Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful applicant will be expected to accomplish the following: • Conduct an in-depth analysis of the cultural, historical and population factors that influence healthcare practices, beliefs and perceptions specific to maternal care within the Native American communities of South Dakota. • Engage with healthcare professionals, community leaders, and relevant partners to identify precise gaps in maternal healthcare services. • Provide insights into the unique challenges faced by Native American mothers, ensuring a collaborative approach to addressing maternal healthcare disparities. • Focus on development of strategies specifically designed to reduce maternal mortality rates, addressing the unique needs of Native American mothers.
