Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Cognitive, psychomotor, and process-based Fire Inspector I & II level training for a maximum of 20 students per course. Training shall be in accordance with the job performance requirements of NFPA 1031, 2014 Edition for each level using a curriculum that is based on Fire Inspector Principles and Practice, Jones and Bartlett, 1st Edition textbook. 2. Instructor(s) that are qualified through their course of study, certification, and work experience. Instructors shall have demonstrated experience in successful course delivery in this topic area. Instructor biographies, resumes, or curriculum vitae shall be provided with proposals as a means of evaluating instructor qualifications. 3. The contractor may propose either one Fire Inspector I/II course (combined levels) or one Fire Inspector I and one Fire Inspector II course. Fire Inspector I/II and Fire Inspector I courses must be a minimum of 40 hours in length. Fire Inspector II courses must be a minimum of 30 hours in length. 4. A course delivery that provides a mutually agreeable schedule. It is preferred that the course be spread out over a multi-week schedule. His would allow students adequate time for research, studying, class review, and home station practical activities. All course timeframe schedule proposals will be considered, but below are suggestions, listed from most desired to least desired: a. Class meetings one day per week, 8 hours of contact time per day. b. Two days of class meetings per week, 8 hours of contact time per day. c. Consecutive days of class meetings, 8 hours of contact time per day.
