Specifications include, but are not limited to: MECA Tri-Park is accepting bids for the purchase of Hardwood and Play Mulch via several orders throughout 2024 for The RiverFront which includes Gene Leahy Mall, Heartland of America Park and Lewis & Clark Landing. Bidder shall complete all line items below. Do not leave any line items blank. If a Bidder is not able to provide a specific line item, insert "0" on that line item. We are requesting unit pricing for this bid, which must include all labor and materials for a full and complete purchase. SPECIFICATIONS: Hardwood Mulch: Mulch must be twice ground, dark brown hardwood mulch. Bidders must submit a specification sheet, including composition of mulch, in their proposals. We anticipate a minimum annual purchase of 800 cubic yards of mulch throughout the calendar year. Play Mulch: Engineered Wood Fiber Playground Mulch. Must be manufactured from a variety of hardwoods and/or softwoods. Does not contain recycled, painted, or chemically treated woods, including pallets. The majority of the wood fibers do not exceed 1.5 inch in length and contain 10- 20% wood fines to aide with compaction. Must meet or exceed the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) and the America Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) requirements. Must also be International Playground Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA) certified. We anticipate a minimum annual purchase of 500 cubic yards throughout the calendar year. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing pricing on all materials, supplies, equipment and labor to deliver mulch on an as needed basis. MECA will work with Bidder on order times, delivery and location of delivery. Each order will be placed individually with a Purchase Order number for each individual order. Bidder shall be responsible for any damage caused to the surrounding area during delivery, including damage to trees.
