Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. SERVICES THAT SHALL BE PERFORMED FOUR (4) TIMES PER WEEK (TUESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY) STARTING BETWEEN 3:30PM – 4:00PM AND COMPLETED NO LATER THAN 5:00AM THE FOLLOWING MORNING: A. Bathroom Areas: 1. Floors shall be swept, vacuumed, and mopped or scrubbed with approved product. Special attention shall be given to maintaining the appearance of the floors around the toilet fixtures. 2. Toilets and urinals shall be scrubbed and sanitized. Special attention should be given to areas around urinals. 3. Traps shall be maintained free from odors at all times. 4. All wash basins shall be thoroughly cleaned. 5. All mirrors, shelving, dispensers, chrome fixtures, and piping shall be cleaned. 6. Radiators, windowsills, ledges, grilles, and stall partitions shall be dusted. 7. Wall surfaces, doors, and waste receptacles shall be spot cleaned as necessary. 8. Waste receptacles, including sanitary napkin receptacles, shall be emptied, cleaned, and disinfected and trash removed from building and disposed of in VDOT dumpsters by Contractor. 9. Approved supplies such as paper towels, liquid hand soap, and toilet paper shall be supplied by Contractor and refilled in dispensers at each service. 2. SERVICES THAT SHALL BE PERFORMED EACH FRIDAY STARTING BETWEEN 3:30PM – 4:00PM WITH THE SHOP COMPLEX AND MOVING TO THE MAIN OFFICE COMPLEX AND COMPLETED NO LATER THAN 5:00AM THE FOLLOWING MORNING: A. Room Cleaning: Office areas, filing areas, lobby, conference rooms and the corridor space adjacent to these areas shall receive cleaning as follows: 1. Waste baskets shall be emptied and waste paper and trash removed from the building and disposed of in VDOT dumpsters by the Contractor. Waste baskets shall have fresh liners inserted as necessary and extra liners left at bottom of waste baskets. 2. Carpeted floors shall be vacuumed. Tiled and linoleum floors in all areas shall be swept or vacuumed, and mopped with approved cleaning product. All floor surfaces are to be cleaned including under desks, tables, chairs, etc. Cleaning shall include vacuuming and mopping with an approved cleaning product. 3. All horizontal surfaces (desks, files, and table tops, chair seats, etc.) shall be dusted with a treated cloth. Upholstered chairs are to be vacuumed and bottoms dusted as necessary. Glass desk tops shall be cleaned with an untreated dust cloth or a cloth sprayed with approved glass cleaner. 4. All wall surfaces, partitions, doors, window frames, and sills shall be spot cleaned as necessary. Windowsills are to be kept free of dust and cobwebs by either vacuumed or wiped out with damp cloth. Entry and interior doors are to be kept free of fingerprints and scuff marks. 5. Wash basins shall be cleaned and mirrors damp-wiped and dried. Paper towels and liquid soap shall be supplied where required. 6. Drinking fountains shall be cleaned by disinfecting and wiping dry and shall be free of hard water spots and mold in and around the drinking spout. B. Outside Entrances: 1. Steps and sidewalks adjacent to building entrances shall be swept on each visit. VDOT personnel will be responsible for snow and ice removal. 2. All entrance doors to the building and both sides of glass doors and windows in front foyer shall be cleaned on each visit. 3. Kick plates on doors shall be cleaned and polished. C. Stairways: 1. Stair landings and steps shall be swept or vacuumed as they are present in a building. 2. Ledges, grills, fire apparatus, door, and heaters shall be dusted with damp treated cloth. 3. Hand railings shall be treated with disinfectant.
