Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide services to public water systems with PFAS contamination for treatment planning and design, or in limited circumstances, alternative solutions, such as new water supply development or consolidation with another public water system. In accordance with Justice 40 directives, Justice 40 is an all of government approach that sets a goal of 40% of the benefits of certain federal investments flowing to disadvantaged communities. The State has utilized Environmental Justice ranking criteria to prioritize access to assistance for water systems who qualify as small or disadvantaged. The State will solicit these prioritized water systems to apply for assistance in addressing PFAS contamination and assign the professional licensed engineering consultant(s) to specific selected public water systems.
