Specifications include, but are not limited to: Aggregate: All aggregate for the project including, but not limited to topsoil, suitable fill, ¾” clean stone, and type III rock should be included in the contractors bid price. All pipe shall be bedded with ¾” clean stone one foot around the entire pipe and wrapped in filter fabric. Suitable fill can be used anywhere outside of this when bringing the area back up to grade. Type III rock shall be used from the bottom of the river, up to, and around the outlet of the 24” ADS pipe to be installed. Pipe: The contractor shall remove and dispose of any RCP that has become disconnected from the remaining RCP. A Mar-Mac dissimilar pipe coupler, or approved equal, is to be used to transition from the end of the existing 24” RCP to the new 24” ADS. Contractor shall install approximately 50 linear feet of ADS pipe, from the existing RCP to the stream. If the contractor would like to use products other than those specified, they are to get approval from the Director of Public Works prior to installation.
