Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Applicant to perform moving of materials from space to space on an as needed basis. Moving projects generally involve the moving of various types of furniture, equipment, materials, supplies will include, but are not limited to desks, chairs, tables, bookcases, cabinets, books, non-specialty equipment, and other office, laboratory, and classroom items. b. Assembly/disassembly of furniture will be required. c. Applicant needs to be available to complete moves from the Mineral Industries building to the Nucor Mineral Industries building during dates to be planned in November and December of 2024. i. Additional known move dates are as follows: Early April 2024 (O’Harra Building related), July1-3, 2024 (King Center related), Early June 2024, August 12-16, 2024 (King Center related) ii. Contract may be used for additional dates as needed. South Dakota Mines will work with successful applicant to schedule dates. d. The Moving Company will supply all supervision, vehicle(s), driver(s), Laborers, and other supplies as needed to execute the moves. e. All moving projects will be within the boundaries of the South Dakota Mines’ campus. f. The applicant will coordinate all moving services directly with the Facilities & Services Department. g. South Dakota Mines will work with the Moving Company to schedule dates. Contract may be used for additional dates as needed. h. The Moving Company shall verify the accurate placement of all items moved to a particular destination prior to leaving the job during the moving period.
