Specifications include, but are not limited to: Through this Request for Proposal (RFP) the Department of Public Safety (hereinafter the “State”) more so the Vermont Fire Academy is seeking qualified contractors to deliver Surface Water Technician with Boat Operations, Swift Water Technician, and Ice Rescue Technician courses to firefighters and other technical rescuers of Vermont. The Contractor shall provide Surface Water Technician with Boat Operations Level courses in compliance with NFPA 1006, Chapters17.1, 17.2, and 17.3, Swift water Technician Level courses in compliance with NFPA 1006, Chapter 18,and Ice Rescue Technician courses in compliance with NFPA 1006, Chapter 19 as requested on mutually agreed upon dates. Cognitive and practical skills training shall occur at various locations around the state of Vermont.
