Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Contractor shall provide CHP Staff Lodging Accommodations in a business-friendly hotel located within a ten (10) mile radius of the CHP Academy, located at 3500 Reed Avenue, West Sacramento, CA 95605. B. Contractor shall be able to provide one (1) to fifty (50) standard rooms on an “as needed” basis. The standard sleeping room shall have either one (1) king size bed or two (2) queen size beds with a private bathroom(s), towels, a dresser, television (optional cable), a writing desk, in suite telephone and sitting chair. The rooms shall have indoor access with an electronic security card, be neat, clean, in good repair, non-smoking, and in room air-conditioning and heating. C. The hotel shall have adequate parking; adequate parking shall be defined as two (2) spaces per room. The hotel premises shall be well-lit, with surveillance and security. D. The hotel shall allow check-in times of 8:00 a.m. and check out times of 6:00 p.m. E. To minimize unnecessary inconvenience to CHP staff, upon check-in for lodging if no vacancy for a standard sleeping room is available, the Contractor shall provide reasonable accommodation by booking the CHP staff in a similar or like sleeping room which meets or exceeds the required standard room at the rate specified in Exhibit B. F. If necessary, rollaway beds will be provided at no charge to the CHP. G. This Agreement is for lodging accommodations only. All other fees incurred by CHP staff, such as room service, telephone calls, movie rentals, etc., shall be collected from the CHP staff who incurred the additional charges at time of checkout. H. CHP shall notify the Contractor a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours in advance of their lodging needs. Failure to provide lodging accommodations on three (3) occasions during the Agreement term may result in termination of the Agreement. The State reserves the right to verbally request the Contractor to provide lodging accommodation(s), for emergencies only, within a two (2) hour time period. I. The CHP Project Representative, or a designated representative, shall be solely responsible for determining acceptability of rooms provided by the Contractor.
