Specifications include, but are not limited to: Task 1 – Initiate Project: • RFP issued and sub-contractor(s) selected (if applicable) • Create a work plan, including outreach and communications plan • Meet with DEC Lakes and Ponds Project Manager and Tactical Basin Planner to review and/or revise work plan and schedule • If applicable, attend the Lake Wise Assessor Spring Training (required for anyone who has not been previously trained) • Attend Lake Wise Assessor Training, if necessary; Task 2 – Kick Off Meeting • Hold a kickoff meeting with stakeholders (e.g., Lake Shore landowners, Lake Association, Town Selectboard, Conservation Commission, etc.) to present plan and encourage sign-ups for assessments • Press release announcing start of campaign; Task 3- Shoreland Assessments • Complete Lake Wise Assessments using the DEC Lake Wise App for all interested landowners; Task 4 – Synthesis • Summarize any potential projects identified through the Lake Wise process • Create project prioritization criteria– must include phosphorus reduction, cost, feasibility, and landowner interest • Prioritize potential projects
