Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Daily Services 1. Clean all restrooms thoroughly, to include: - Wet mop floors with a disinfectant cleaning solution - Clean mirrors and metal to include fixture hardware - Thoroughly clean toilets, urinals, and lavatories with a disinfectant cleaning solution - Wash toilet partitions in all restrooms with disinfectant cleaning solution - Deodorizing blocks supplied by the Contractor shall be maintained daily in all urinals - Refill soap, towel and tissue dispensers 2. Empty all wastebaskets and garbage containers. Overflow trash will be placed in boxes beside wastepaper baskets and will clearly be labeled as trash by City staff to avoid confusion over what is to be discarded. Refuse shall be bagged and removed to a designated area on the premises. All trash can and wastepaper receptacles shall be lined with plastic bags supplied by the Contractor and shall be heavy duty with a minimum of 0.63 mil thickness. Plastic bag liners are to be securely tied at the top to prevent spillage. Dirty, soiled and/or torn trash can liners and wastepaper basket liners shall be replaced. 3. Clean drinking fountains with a disinfecting cleaning solution. 4. Vacuum all throw rugs and mats. Vacuum all carpet in the designated areas throughout the building including public areas, work rooms, corridors, meeting rooms, lounges, offices, etc.; 5. All tiled floor areas shall be kept clean by sweeping, dry mopping and/or wet mopping as required including under all throw rugs and floor mats. If floors are wet because of moisture brought in due to weather conditions or any other reason, floor surfaces shall be wet mopped. Dry mopping is acceptable if floors are dry. All tile floors shall be spray buffered as needed and are to be maintained in a high gloss and in a non-slip condition. Scuffs and black heel marks are to be removed if present on a daily basis. Special attention shall be paid to corners to ensure cleanliness. 6. After cleaning of all floors and vacuuming throw rugs and floor mats, replace all throw rugs and floor mats in proper and original locations. 7. Concrete, tile, and VCT floors shall be kept clean by sweeping, dry mopping, and/or wet mopping as required. If floors are wet because of moisture brought in due to weather conditions or any other reason, floor surfaces shall be wet mopped. Dry mopping and/or sweeping are acceptable if floors are dry. 8. Clean sink, table tops and countertops in all work areas. (Contractor is not required to remove any paperwork on table tops, countertops, etc.) 9. Clean all table tops, chairs, furniture and countertops in meeting rooms and lunch rooms. (Contractor is not required to remove any paperwork on table tops, countertops, etc.) 10.Remove spots from carpeting and furniture with approved spot remover as needed. 11.Maintain furniture arrangement. 12.Thoroughly clean and disinfect public service counters, where applicable and accessible. (Contractor is not required to remove any paperwork etc.) B. Weekly Services 1. Clean janitor’s closets and storage areas. 2. Wipe with damp cloth all vinyl and other hard surface covered furniture (including public areas, work rooms, and offices.) 3. Clean and polish all metal (including kick plates, switch plates, door hardware, banisters and railing, etc.) 4. Wash exterior of water fountains and vending machines 5. At least weekly and as needed, wash glass on: - Front doors, vestibule doors, office doors, and all glass panels adjacent to doors. 6. Spot clean walls in high traffic areas, especially around switch plates, etc. 7. Dust partitions, ledges, low moldings, and all book shelves, including those in work rooms, offices, etc.; (Contractor is not required to remove books, etc.) 8. Clean and wash out all wastebaskets’ interiors and exteriors and replace plastic liners – as needed. 9. Dust all furniture in all offices and all public spaces. 10.Clean and damp wipe all benches and chairs. 11.Dust tops of lockers in women’s and men’s locker rooms C. Monthly Services 1. Dry mop storage areas and mechanical rooms and/or oil all plastic laminate or wooden end panels on shelving. 2. Dust and vacuum all HVAC grills and louvers in all walls and suspended ceiling areas. 3. Wash all banisters and rails including the removal of all grease and oil residue when required. 4. Shower rooms and bathroom walls and floors are to be thoroughly cleaned by using appropriate chemicals and cleaning agents required to ensure removal of scale and lime buildup and the disinfecting of all surfaces. 5. Dust all blinds. D. Quarterly Services 1. Wash all interior windows in offices – January, April, July, and October. 2. Polish and/or wax all furniture and wooden doors. Apply scratch cover polish to furniture and doors where needed – March, June, September, and December.
