Specifications include, but are not limited to: Secondhand smoke • Advance and support education on why smoke free housing contributes to community health at all types of rental housing including multi-unit housing. • Partner with Rental/Section 8 property companies to support their smoke and tobacco free housing. • Educate and pursue smoke free spaces including, but not limited to parks, events, sidewalks, and other venues/locations. Tobacco/Nicotine Cessation & Treatment • Conduct extensive community and clinical outreach and cessation promotion for priority populations including youth, young adult, behavioral health, LGBTQ, People of Color. • Support and reinforce screening and referral systems, while monitoring outcomes with the Tobacco Control Program. • Arrange and disseminate training for equipping clinical teams to provide tobacco treatment. • Provide Training and support Tobacco Treatment Specialists (TTSs). • As appropriate, employ TTSs. • Arrange and disseminate training and support functions of the successful distribution of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) in the community.
