Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Heavy-Duty Commercial Snowplow with hardware to be installed on the front of each truck. a. Plow should be a straight blade 8’ to 8’-6” in width. b. Moldboard would preferably be made of a poly material or steel /aluminum is acceptable. c. Must be equipped with a back drag edge. d. Include powerful headlights, preferably LED. e. Cutting edge should be at least ½” thick steal. f. Snow deflector should be mounted to top of the plow blade. g. Control must be handheld. h. Blade must easily be attached and removed from truck without use of tools or jacks. i. Full installation is expected. j. Manufacturer warranty or better. 2. Heavy-Duty Hydraulic Liftgate to be installed in place of the tailgate. a. Must operate using hydraulic pressure in a fully enclosed system including a pressure release valve to prevent operator overloading. b. All mounting and servicing hardware must be included. c. Have recessed controls for easy operation and controls must be moisture resistant and of a commercial quality to withstand outdoor Nebraska climates. d. Must have a lifting capacity of at least 1,500 lbs. e. The platform treadplate must be made of steel and must be at least 36” depth by 48” with taper when fully open. f. Platform must move from the up position (like a liftgate), all the way to the ground, then back up while open to the lower portion of the inside of the truck box. g. Full installation is expected. h. Manufacturer warranty or better. 3. Industrial or Heavy-Duty Safety Headache Rack to be installed between the rear facing window of the truck and the box. a. Must be constructed using a minimum of 2.00” round or square tubing. b. The safety headache rack must be made of steel and powder coated to prevent rusting. c. Must be made of an appropriate strength where items can be tied to or attached and must be of the design which will allow and support transportation of ladders safely. d. Must be made in a way where high visibility to the back of the truck is possible, preferably using a minimum of 3/16’ rolled steel or similar design with 2” holes between wires. If the rack is solid steel, it must allow for visibility through holes in the design to easily see through to the back of the truck. e. All mounting hardware components must be included. f. Full installation is expected. g. Manufacturer warranty or better. 4. LED Class I safety directional light a. Directional light must be mounted in a manner which will allow for full visibility with the installation of a headache safety rack and either in the cab or outside. b. Must be highly visible from the rear of the vehicle. c. Must include an interior mounted controller with multiple flash patterns to direct traffic. d. The signal bar must be at least 48” wide. e. Must have a controller that is easily understood. f. Must include the necessary cabling and mounting hardware. g. Full installation is expected. h. Manufacturer warranty or better. 5. Commercial grade backup camera a. Camera system should include a high-resolution color monitor. b. Monitor must have touch and backlight buttons for use in light and dark conditions. c. LCD screen must be at least 6” d. Must mount to the inside of the cab and not obstruct the driver’s visibility. e. Must have day and night light sensor camera. f. Camera must be wireless and mounted appropriately given the headache rack used for ladders and the tailgate lift. g. The visible field must be at minimum 70 degrees horizontal and 160 degrees diagonal. h. Must be of commercial grade to withstand heavy-duty usage. i. Must include all mounting hardware. j. Full installation is expected. k. Manufacturer warranty or better. 6. Bedliners a. Ford 250 needs a plastic bed liner installed. b. Ford 350 needs a spray on bed liner installed.
