Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project replaces media and refurbishes the underdrain system in the two filter units at the Water Treatment Facility as well as replaces original set of diffusers in two clarifier units. The Work on Trident Units 1 and 3 includes the following major items: a. Replacement of filter media, including anthracite, silica sand, and garnet sand with the filter media furnished by the Owner. b. Rehabilitation of filter underdrain, including removal of existing components and shipment to the manufacturer, cleaning and repairs by the manufacturer, and re-installation. c. Replacement of clarifier nozzles and waste gate seal. d. Replacement of Magnetrol level device with electronic ultrasonic level transducer with converter box to connect to existing pneumatic system.
