Specifications include, but are not limited to: Successful offeror(s) shall implement strategies focusing on the suicide prevention components of ‘enhancing life skills and resilience’ and ‘promoting social connectedness’ with the aim to increase protective factors that contribute to feelings of social isolation, including identifying and learning coping and problem-solving skills and increasing connections to friends, family, and community support. Successful offeror(s) shall implement strategies focused on one or more of the STATE-identified populations of focus: Farmers and ranchers. LGBTQ+. Native Americans. North Dakotans living in rural areas. Older adults. Service members, veterans, or their families (SMVF). Youth and young adults. Other high-risk populations (please provide supporting documentation/data to support this population of focus) Successful offeror(s) shall implement evidence-based strategies aligning to STATE focus areas and target populations, addressing suicide prevention as approved by STATE. Successful offeror(s) shall make any necessary project modifications as deemed necessary by STATE. Successful offeror(s) shall provide services in a manner that are recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centered. Successful offeror(s) shall coordinate with other state-funded grant recipients and existing community-based organizations and programs to maximize benefit and avoid duplication, and leverage, redirect, and align resources.
