Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.2.1 The successful proposer shall provide compactor refurbishment, welding, fabrication, and container maintenance services. 1. Complete floor, skirt replacement, prep, paint, and stickering of 20, 30, and 40-yard open-top containers (3/16 standard steel in all Open top 20, 30 and 40 yards). 2. Complete floor, skirt replacement, prep, paint, lid, and stickering of 2, 4, 6, and 8- yard containers (lids and stickers will be provided by the City) and (3/16 standard steel in all Front Load containers 2, 4, 6, and 8-yard containers). 3. Steel plate welding and maintenance (3/16 A/R plate for floor, skirt, blade, and wear plates in all compactors). 4.2.2 All compactor refurbishments will include the complete removal of all trash from behind blade area, complete unit pressure wash (inside & out), and a “battery-free” power supply unit with 110-volt 50-amp power source complete with plug and setup (i.e., power unit must carry a 1-year parts warranty). Complete floor and skirt replacement along with blade removal and reconditioning, along with blade shoes, a new wear plate on each side of the blade track unit, and new hydraulic hoses and fittings. This should also include two (2) refurbished cylinders (at a minimum) and four (4) new pin bosses and pins. The rear door seal must be removed, and the track repaired to accommodate a new seal installation (provided by the City). The compactor must be prepped, painted, and stickered. 4.2.3 It is intended that the successful bidder be capable of performing all work required under this contract onsite at Sanitation HQ (1809 West US Highway 80, Garden City, GA.). The bidder will also need a service truck to complete the installation of the unit and any warranty repairs needed throughout the life of the warranty and may be required to complete some work at their own facility. 4.2.4 The bidder must provide adequate moving, lifting, and transportation capability for all equipment covered under this contract. For rental of such equipment not owned by the successful bidder(s), it is expected that the rental price paid by the bidder will be billed to the City with no mark-up.
