Specifications include, but are not limited to: Exit 15 – Structure No. 64-070-287 The Contractor will complete all grout pad and bearing work that requires the structure to be closed to through traffic on the Exit 15 – Structure No. 64-070-287 portion of the project within 15 working days. The Department will begin to count working days when the Contractor closes the structure to through traffic. The Department will continue to count working days until the Contractor completes all work required and opens at least one lane across the structure to traffic at this portion of the project. The Department will count working days in accordance with Section 8.6 A. The Department will not allow both structures to be worked on concurrently unless otherwise approved by the Engineer. If the Contractor does not complete the work within the working day completion requirement, the Department will make a disincentive assessment in the amount of $1000 per working day. A contract item for incentive/disincentive pay is included in the bid schedule for the Department’s use in assessing disincentive. The Department will use a negative quantity of days for assessing disincentives. Exit 9 – Structure No. 64-115-330 The Contractor will complete all grout pad and bearing work that requires the structure to be closed to through traffic on the Exit 9 – Structure No. 64-115-330 portion of the project within 30 working days. The Department will begin to count working days when the Contractor closes the structure to through traffic. The Department will continue to count working days until the Contractor completes all work required and opens at least one lane across the structure to traffic at this portion of the project. The Department will count working days in accordance with Section 8.6 A. The Department will not allow both structures to be worked on concurrently unless otherwise approved by the Engineer.
