Specifications include, but are not limited to: GCPS is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for mowing services. These services will be performed at facilities located throughout Gwinnett County Public Schools. Work may be planned, or unplanned in response to emergency service requests. Planned work will be scheduled to minimize the impact on instructional time and optimize the successful completion of work by selected contractors. This is an on-demand contract. Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) may contract with more than one contractor, or as deemed to be in the best interest of the district, for the term specified in the solicitation. Each contractor must provide references that show experience in high volume on-demand general-purpose repair services to be considered for award. Each contractor is cautioned that any contract resulting from a response to this solicitation shall be of a non-exclusive nature. GCPS makes no guarantees with respect to the amount or volume of business billed under any resulting contract. GCPS may award to multiple vendors. Services for this contract include weekly rotary or reel mowing of athletic fields at high schools and additional campuses. Contractor is expected to mow approximately 10 to 12 fields per day at 3 to 4 of the locations assigned. Mowing heights to be determined by GCPS Coordinator of Athletics. Mower type to be as mutually agreed. Pricing shall include scattering or removal of heavy clippings when needed. GCPS reserves the right to add or subtract athletic fields as needed.
