Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department is seeking architectural and engineering consulting services for a significant demolition project at the Downeast Correctional Facility, located in Machiasport, Maine. The scope of this project involves the demolition of existing structures within the facility, including 21 single-story houses, 7 double garages, and 5 single garages. These structures, constructed several decades ago, are currently not in use and have been identified for removal better to utilize the space for the facility’s evolving needs. An essential aspect of this project is handling and proper disposal of hazardous materials. The scope of services for this project includes, but may not be limited to, schedule and cost estimating, preliminary design, design development, contract documents, and administration of bidding and construction. The AE Consultant may be required to coordinate this work or additional work with other consultants contracted by the Owner.
