Specifications include, but are not limited to: TURF MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS 3.5. All grass shall be mowed at 3" weekly or as needed. 3.5.1. The period of time between mowing is intended to be weekly but may vary during the mowing season due to weather conditions. 3.5.2. Contractor shall contact the facility Assistant Superintendent of Maintenance for mowing schedule adjustments during extended periods of inclement weather. 3.6. All obstacles shall be string trimmed on the same day that mowing is performed. 3.6.1. String trimmed areas shall not exceed the established mowing height. 3.6.2. Trimming shall be performed around trees, shrubs, light posts, signposts, curbs, and treatment facility structures. 3.6.3. Contractors shall take caution to not damage trees, shrubs, and other structures. 3.6.4. Contractor is financially responsible for any damage done to the property. 3.7. Grass clippings shall be evenly dispersed so that they are not left in windrows. 3.7.1. Grass shall not be blown into the street or onto sidewalks. 3.7.2. Prior to mowing, the Contractor must remove litter from the areas to be mowed. 4. FERTILIZING AND WEED CONTROL 4.2. Rough cut turf areas: Broadleaf spray control in specified areas as requested by Assistant Superintendent of Maintenance. 4.3. All excess fertilizer shall be blown, swept, or removed from any non-target areas such as but not limited to hard surfaces, landscaped beds, etc. 4.4. All treated areas shall be posted with the date the application was made, any re-entry restrictions or other important information as stated on the product label. 4.5. MSDS sheets must be emailed to the Assistant Superintendent of Maintenance and approved prior to application. 4.6. Fertilizing must occur between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm. 4.6.1 Fertilizing must not impede scheduled or unscheduled use of Water facilities.
