Furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to install, and test, complete and ready for operation, vertical turbine pumps bowl and column assemblies and motors which replace the existing Raw Water Pump No. 3 and Raw Water Pump No. 5. The furnished packages should include all required fittings, fasteners, anchors, connections, and couplings to connect with the existing pumps head, discharge piping, and existing structure to provide a fully functional replacement pump. 2. The pumps shall be designed and constructed to fit within the restraints of the existing building and the overall pump weight (bowl assembly, column, shafting and discharge head) shall be within the weight limitations of the on-site overhead hoist. a. The weight limitation of the on-site overhead bridge crane is 5 tons. 3. Existing pump head, pad, starters, cables and conduits, instruments, discharge pipes, valves, and fittings will remain in service after the pump replacement. The provided column and bowl assemblies should be installed through the existing floor openings. 4. The installation of the components will be conducted by Owner. However, supervisory services during the installation and field testing of each unit and instructing the regular operating personnel in the proper care, operation, and maintenance of the equipment are included in this section and shall be provided by the contractor. 5. Specified spare parts, tools, and warranties are included in this section. 6. All necessary and desirable accessory equipment and auxiliaries, whether specifically mentioned in this Specification or not, shall be furnished and installed as required for an installation incorporating the highest standards for this type of service.
