Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1 DESIGN SERVICES – SECTION ONE Services include but are not limited to the following: • Provide support for any National Environmental Policy Act (“NEPA”) efforts that are currently underway for both projects. • Prepare construction plans in both hard copy and electronic files, utilizing the latest technology, best practices of 3-D CADD, and Department requirements. • Complete additional tasks related to preparation of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) submittal including but not limited to: utility coordination, specifications, quantity calculations and cost estimates, traffic management plans, technical reports, and contract timing. • Provide design services through the construction phase; providing shop drawing review, attending progress meetings, and answering construction staff and contractor questions. Project development shall be in accordance with current AASHTO Standards, Departmental Manuals, Standards, and Policies. Refer to the Design Resource Center at www.deldot.gov for the latest project development guidelines, including but not limited to: Road Design Manual, Bridge Design Manual, Plan Submission Checklists, CADD Standards, and Delaware Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (“ MUTCD”). 3.2 PROJECT MANAGEMENT – SECTION TWO Services include serving in a DelDOT consultant project management role, reporting to the Project Development North 1 Group Engineer. Responsibilities include day to day management of the SR 1 projects for the Department including but not limiting to: • Assuring schedules are held and updating reporting tools used by the Department as needed including but not limited to: using DelDOT’s electronic project management program, which is currently Unifier to track all project information, preparing weekly reports, and preparing internal excel spreadsheets. • Preparing plan submissions when received from the designer. • Scheduling, facilitating and attending meetings as needed. • Tracking the project budget, participate in regular spend update meetings, and updating the estimates in DelDOT’s electronic project management program, which is currently Unifier.
