Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Town of Durham and the University of New Hampshire own and operate the Beech Hill and Foss Farm Water Storage Tanks as part of the UNH/Durham Water System. Beech Hill Tank is a 0.6-million gallon welded steel standpipe on the high pressure zone of the water system. Foss Farm Tank is a 3-million gallon welded steel standpipe on the main pressure zone of the water system. The contract includes the following tank improvements: 1. Install new mechanical tank mixing system at Beech Hill Tank including electrical connection, SCADA improvements, and miscellaneous improvements including: a. Replace existing pressure gauge with new pressure/sample tap manifold in vault. b. Install intrusion alarm equipment in vault. c. Install flood alarm equipment in vault. d. Install low temperature alarm equipment in vault. 2. Install new mechanical tank mixing system at Foss Farm Tank including electrical connection, SCADA improvements, and miscellaneous improvements including: a. Replace existing roof vent with pressure vacuum frost proof vent. b. Replace missing rigging plugs on roof. c. Install new sample valve on existing tap in vault. d. Install new pressure gauge in vault. e. Install new closed cell polystyrene insulation in vault. f. Install new FRP paneling in vault. g. Install new cable safety climb system on existing fixed ladder (Bid Add Alt #1). h. Replace existing door with new FRP door in vault. i. Replace existing bulkhead door with new bulkhead door. j. Install intrusion alarm equipment in vault. k. Install flood alarm equipment in vault. l. Install low temperature alarm equipment in vault.
