A high-level Scope-of-Work (SoW) is described below to help the Respondent understand the Project requirements. The SoW is not comprehensive but identifies the major elements and includes: 1. Approximately 2.25 miles long, 12-ft internal diameter tunnel; 2. Construction using a pressurized face tunnel boring machine (TBM) with a singlepass, gasketed, and segmental lining; 3. Seven (7) drop shafts, DS-1 through DS-7) that include: a. Vortex structure; b. Drop shaft; c. Deaeration chamber (DS-1, DS-2, and DS-3); d. Adit (DS-1, DS-2, DS-3, DS-4, and DS-6); e. Vent shaft(s); 4. Supplementary vent shafts; 5. Penetration at each drop shaft to connect into the tunnel; 6. Near surface consolidation piping at DS-2 and DS-7; 7. Tapping into existing two (2) large diameter sewer lines at DS-6; 8. Outfall structures that include: a. Transition structure; b. Energy dissipation structure; c. Outfall apron; d. Micropile installation; 9. Inlet structures that include: a. Inlet headwall; b. Box culverts; c. Trash rack; d. Rock trap; 10. TBM launching trench, approximately 30 feet wide by 150 feet long; 11. Ground improvement; 12. Hyperbaric interventions for obstruction removal and/or maintenance.
