Specifications include, but are not limited to: furnish all supplies, materials, tools, equipment, labor, personnel, and supervision; pay all taxes, insurance, bonds, license and permit fees, and all other direct and indirect costs necessary to provide Automatic Gate Installation Services in accordance with the terms set forth in this Agreement. 5. SLIDE GATE 1) Use existing gate. 6. WHEELS AND ROLLERS: 1) Slide Gate Guide Rollers: Rollers (two) shall be 9-inch black EDPM Commercial Grade with roller assembly. Roller assembly shall bolt through the guideposts. Roller and assembly shall be equal to Guardian #2632 with 9-inch side mount guide roller assembly. 2) Wheels: Solid steel V-groove, designed for 1-inch or larger angle tracks, gold zinc plating, weight capacity 3,000 lbs. each wheel, two 2-inch sealed bearings with 1- inch axle. Equal to ELITE heavy duty power wheel 4-inch Model A H108. 3) Safety Wheel Covers: Wheel covers shall be minimum ¼-inch steel, hot-dip galvanized. 7. GATE OPERATOR 1) General: a) Purchase and install a new High Security Slide Smart, Lift Master, Rotary Gate System or equal b) Factory-assembled automatic gate operation system designed for gate size, type, weight, construction, use, traffic-flow patterns, and operation frequency. c) Provide operation system for gate specified, of size and capacity and with features, characteristics, and accessories suitable for Project conditions, recommended by gate manufacturer and complete with electric motor and factory-prewired motor controls, remote-control stations, control devices, power disconnect switch, obstruction detection device, lockable weatherproof enclosures protecting controls and all operating parts, and accessories required for proper operation. d) Provide enclosures with corrosion-resistant-protective and decorative finish and two keys per lock. e) Include wiring from motor controls to motor. Coordinate operator wiring requirements and electrical characteristics with building electrical system. 2) The gate operator shall operate with lighted digital push button keyless entry pad (minimum of 10 code capability), mounted on a steel gooseneck post. 3) The gate operator shall be wired into the facility’s existing backup power supply such that the operator will function when the primary power supply is interrupted. 4) Vehicle Detector: Microcomputer controlled digital vehicle detector with automatic tuning, crosstalk filter, environmental tracking, lightening protection, and other features-all compatible with the approved gate operator. Contractor to provide for exit and safety loops as indicated on the project plans; and make sure the detectors are compatible with random radio signals used by the California Highway Patrol at the facility. Saratec Traffic, Inc.-Model No. 525, Detector System 416-A, or equal. 5) Gate Lock a) Electronic gate lock to be installed on end of slide gate and end post, b) Securtron-Maglock Model 62 GF, Dorking Model #1215, or equal. Integrate electric lock with gate operator. 6) Provide and install automatic close timer with automatic exit feature (includes any necessary loops and hardware). 7) Provide and install an emergency manual activation switch mounted within secure area. Provide forty (40) remote transmitters 9) Loop wire is #16 XPPL, gasoline and oil resistant. Test loops prior to application of groove filler. 10) Loop Installation: a) Cut a groove ¼-inch wide by 1-1/2-inch deep in shape as required by gate operator manufacturer. b) Place four (4), (six) 6 turns of wire in loop slot. Then twist ends together to form a lead-in wire with at least 2 twists per foot. CAUTION: Loop wires and lead-in wires must be a continuous piece without splices. Lead-in wires must be twisted all the way to the control box. c) Loop wires in saw cut should be at least 3/8 inch below grade level. d) Fill over loop with epoxy or a Caltrans-approved asphaltic emulsion sealant as called for by the loop manufacturer.
